Patron Updates

Hello Dear Patrons,

Welcome to your first update of the year! After a number of months where we focused on building confidence and skills, our students are so very ready and excited to get cracking with creating and putting on our first show.

Our Achievements So Far…

1

Skill Development

With a total of 3 sign songs, and two dances learnt, our students are building their skill level and confidence week by week.

2

Show Conceptualisation

Our students have come up with the concept for our first show, and boy oh boy do you have a treat in store! Check out the video below for a sneak peak.

3

Prop Design

Part of any great show is the artistry that goes on behind the scenes. See below for the first of many prop items and scenery we’ve been making!

4

Lines? Learnt!

We are blown away by how quickly our students have taken to learning their lines for our project. One might say they’ve taken to it like a fish to water…

A sneaky preview of our show. This video was taken in the early days of rehearsals, and already everyone was just fabulous. Can you guess what our show is about?

In total we have made about 50 fish so far. That’s a lot of designing, and a lot of ink!

Thank you for being a part of the magic at Amity Arts!

Your generosity means that as well as being able to afford some really wonderful materials for props and set, we will be able to afford a slot in the main theatre at the South Mill Arts. This is a great opportunity for our students to show off their amazing theatrical artistry in a venue worthy of their awesomeness. We look forward to letting you know when our show will be, and most of all, we are so excited to see you there!

With warmest wishes,

Esme & the team at Amity
